U.S. Geological Survey 2006 Fargo, ND LiDAR vector digital data City of Fargo http://lidar.cr.usgs.gov http://seamless.usgs.gov "Merrick & Company produced Digital Terrain Model (DTM) data for the 2005 Fargo Digital Mapping project. The DTM was derived from LIDAR points and supplemental breaklines. The DTM data deliveries included: LIDAR (.las), AutoCAD (.xyz), and AutoCAD (.dwg) files." "LiDAR was not going to be acquired in 2005, but there was so much growth and construction the 2002 data wasn't helping because of all the changes, especially south of the city. City of Fargo is working on a large flood protection plan for the City to protect from river flooding and overland flooding coming at from the south. It is a large, ambitious project and there will likely be new LiDAR collected in 2007 or 2008." The data obtained through The Seamless Server is considered to be the "best available" data from USGS.
