We can use the CRS as is. The project will be categorized as “meets with variances”, with a reason code indicating the nuances with the CRS. We will be using the CRS cited in the task order for Matsu. The task order states the following: Spatial Reference System for delivery of the AOIs shall be: data referenced to NAD83 (2011), Alaska State Plane Zone 4, U.S. Survey Feet; NAVD88 (using the latest Geoid model available from the National Geodetic Survey), U.S. Survey Feet. (02) All data shall be delivered in Orthometric Heights. (03) **NOTE**In all cases, the CRS that is used shall be recognized and published by the European Petroleum Survey Group (EPSG) and correctly recognized by industry standard geographic information system (GIS) software applications. For Albers Equal Area, (European Petroleum Survey Group [EPSG] code is 6350). EPSG shall be cited in the technical proposal. Spatial Reference System: For Final Data Drives (04) Spatial Reference System for delivery of the AOIs shall be: data referenced to NAD83, Alaska State Plane Zone 4, U.S. Survey Feet; NAVD88 (using the latest Geoid model Geospatial Products And Services Contract V3 (GPSC3) Task Order: AK_MatSuBorough_2019_B19 Page 19 of 26 available from the National Geodetic Survey), U.S. Survey Feet. (05) All data shall be delivered in Orthometric Heights. (06) **NOTE**In all cases, the CRS that is used shall be recognized and published by the European Petroleum Survey Group (EPSG) and correctly recognized by industry standard geographic information system (GIS) software applications. For Albers Equal Area, (European Petroleum Survey Group [EPSG] code is 6350). EPSG shall be cited in the technical proposal The official guidance from NGTOC regarding situations where we no longer require an Albers deliverable is to deliver in the partners’ preferred coordinate reference system provided that it is registered with EPSG. The response from Quantum is correct, the coordinate reference system cited by the task order is not registered with the ESPG. It is not clear to me whether this is one of those task orders or if the language is just legacy, that is something I do need confirmed. The state plane (registered with EPSG) in Alaska all have units of meters. Operations/Josh will work with NGP to come up with an appropriate reason code under “meets with variances”. The CRS listed in the TO is acceptable.
